Laman party was a success

To the editor:

The 39th-annual Ray Laman Children’s Christmas Party, held Dec. 16 at Wintersville Fire and Rescue, was another huge success. All those attending enjoyed the sing-along with guitarist Kenny Wells and danced with elf Maria, Frosty and Mrs. Claus before the arrival of Santa and Rudolph. Children received a free photo with Santa; gift bags of toys; a hat, glove and scarf set; and a goodie bag of fruit, coupons and a toy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their generous donations and ask that all reading this will patronize the businesses — without these merchants and caring citizens, this annual event would not be possible: American Legion Post 5557; Tri-State Financial Services; Signs Ltd.; Daily Insurance Agency; Neidengard’s Harley-Davidson; Wintersville Fire Department; General Contracting; Sterling’s Auto Body and Paint; FOP Lodge 97; village of Wintersville; First Choice America Federal Credit Union; Quik Mart and More; State Park Motors Inc.; Wintersville Women’s Club; L&J Bowers Inc.; Howard Bowers Contracting Co.; attorney James T.
