Problems need to be fixed
To the editor:
I’m still a Southender, but I just couldn’t take it anymore, having an open sewer in front of my house, and how many warnings do people get before they clean up around their house?
That’s part of the problem. It used to be when they condemned a house it was either tore down or fixed up. Now they just let people move in until it’s completely gone. Between back taxes and unpaid water bills, this town has hit rock bottom. Maybe if they started fining people for not cleaning up around their house, maybe they would have money in the budget.
I’m the last of my family living in that neighborhood in a 100 years.
