A forgotten stretch of highway

To the editor:

This letter concerns Jefferson County Road 22, Alternate 22, Old Cadiz Road – whatever you want to call it.

Not only does it funnel traffic from several densely populated subdivisions, it is home to many commercial properties. It also is the south end of a heavily traveled connector (Two Ridge Road), from state Route 43 to the north. Why, then, does this heavily traveled road seem to receive the last and the least routine maintenance? I’m referring to lane markings, pothole patching, etc.

If you don’ believe me, then drive on it.
