Event to help animal welfare league

To the editor:

The Jefferson County Animal Welfare League will be celebrating 40 years of service to our voiceless animals. The event will be held at 1 p.m. July 13 at St. Florian Hall. No tickets will be sold at the door – it’s a complete sellout.

I sincerely prayed before asking each sponsor, and the results were extraordinary. I thank the business community and everyone in the Tri-State Area for all of their generosity. The Chinese auction items include: Dr, Thomas and Suzanne Brown, dental basket; Dave and Marie Barnhouse; Saxon’s Jewelers; Robert Steven Vukelic – RSV, two auction baskets; AFW Photography basket, Amber Faith Waggoner; Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort, overnight stay and gift card; Sis Keenan, two paintings; Thompson’s Florist, floral arrangement; Vapor Jet, Pirate tickets and parking pass; Avon basket, Cindy Starr; Discovery Jewelers, necklace; Village Sleep Center, mattress cover and gift card; Aaron’s Inc., seven rugs; Lee Bethel, afghan; Carmela Stoddart, painting; Herald-Star, six-month subscription; Esther McCoy, auction basket; Findlay Street Laundromat (Pat Scheel), gift basket; Renee Delsignore, gift basket; Bully Tools, gift basket; Texas Roadhouse, birthday celebration gift cards; Uniquely Designed (Reed family), two candy baskets; M&M Hardware, Tonka Truck; Edible Arrangements, gift card; AutoZone, car wash bucket and other items; McConnell’s Market, gift card; Pam Pareso, two afghans; Mr. Key; Paula Siebada, painting; cosmetic basket, assorted designer collection for fair skin (Janet Polverini); Terry Elson, cake; Walt Disney, 100-year musical; Linda Polverini, painting; collector items from Kurt Stuewe; Bell Chapel Yarn Group, two sweater sets; Phillipes purse and gift cards (Joy and Carol Clutter); the Oragami Owl, Andrea Keister; Becky’s purse and scarf set; Holiday Inn, overnight stay; Choice Brands of Ohio; and Barbara Cameron, hand-crocheted baby items.
