The growing nanny state

To the editor:

On a recent shopping trip, I bought some usual household products. On two of the containers I noted a warning something like, “It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a matter inconsistent with it labeling.”

So if I use insecticide to spray spiders, I’m breaking a federal law? Talk about a nanny state.

But to the point, this makes me wonder, is it legal to eat oyster crackers with clam chowder?
