Rally to look at flag, freedoms

To the editor:

Unless things change, time is running out for our great republic – we, the people, must stand and be heard, and soon. We must act, to save the ideal of Americanism.

How did our nation get to this point; this sad, dangerous state of affairs in which we find ourselves? What can we do about it?

On Friday America celebrates Flag Day.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Treasure Island Flea Market parking lot in Wintersville, the American Patriot Council-Washington/Jefferson/Hancock Chapter, Steubenville for Liberty and the Eastern Ohio Concerned Citizens will host a Flag Day “Defending our Faith, Flag and Freedoms” Rally.

On the agenda are patriotism, information, inspiration and entertainment.

Featured speakers include Anton Salinski; Toni Blake; Wheeling businessman Eric Jack; Christian singer, songwriter and author Lynne Modranski; the Rev. Hombre Liggett; and motivational speaker “Coach Dave” Daubenmire, among others.

Music will be provided by Modranski and another, to be announced.

Salinski will be speaking on the symbolic meanings of the American flag, the five foundations of Americanism and the threat of cultural Marxism.

Salinski is an assistant professor of social sciences at Eastern Gateway Community College. He holds an earned doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University and has lectured on Americanism and the dangers of communism since 1990.

He currently considers himself an activist and a promoter of Americanism and constitutionalism.

Jack will be speaking on small business ownership in the Obama era. Jack was born and raised on a farm in the Wheeling area, graduated from Wheeling Park High and then West Virginia University.

For many years he has owned a successful insurance agency in Wheeling. He and his wife, Lisa, also own a Sears Hometown Store at the Highlands shopping area.

A Bloomingdale resident, Blake, will be speaking on so-called Smart Meters and encroachment of UN control through its Agenda 21 program.

Steubenville’s Modranski, born and raised in the rolling hills of Eastern Ohio, will be addressing issues of faith in today’s America.

Liggett, a Dover resident, pastors at the Church of the Harvest in Dover, and will be discussing Second Amendment issues that face America today. Liggett speaks out for God and country at rallies, meetings and conferences around the country.

A motivational speaker, Daubenmire will simply rock your world.

We must remember that communism and communist ideology did not die with the Soviet Union. It remains a serious, insidious threat to America and American values.

Please bring your own seating, and enjoy a couple hours of patriotic fellowship, Americanism and information.

Refreshments and restroom facilities will be available inside the flea market.

See you on Saturday in the flea market parking lot.
