Edward Goddard

Edward W. Goddard, 82, of Stratton, OH died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his daughter’s residence. He was born in Steubenville on April 15, 1936, a son of the late Pemberton and Lila Piddock Goddard. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked in the 80-inch and the Blast Furnace. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in both England and Alaska. Edward graduated from Toronto High School and was a member of the Buck Tales Gun Club, Toronto, OH.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Marie “Peggy” Frantz Goddard; second wife, Deloris J. “Dee” Bergles Goddard; sister, Betty June Goddard; brothers, Jack Lee, Frank Eugene and Roger Allen Goddard; step-sons, William and Frederick Dye. Edward is survived by daughters, Peggy Ann Zende and Susan Rae Haines; step-daughters, Sis (Howard) Stine, JoAnn (William) Martin, Elaine (Floyd) Wright, Cindy Ighnat, Kim (Bob) Freeman and Judy Wilson; grandson Edward Zende; granddaughters, Rachael Haines and Sarah Guzman; numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 with Rev. C.
