Wayne Chynoweth

Wayne SinClair Chynoweth, 81, of Paris, PA, fell asleep in the Lord peacefully Feb. 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Edith (Musser) Chynoweth; and his sister, Beverly Newman.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Smoljanovich). They were married for 57 years.

Also surviving are his brother, David Chynoweth of Bavington, PA; his children, Mary Beth Chynoweth of Paris, Richard Chynoweth (Carolyn Billie) of Belleview, FL, and Lisa Greenlief (David) of Chester, WV.

He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who also survive him.

He graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School in 1956 and joined the Navy, where he served from 1956-1960.

He was the owner of the Overlook Restaurant in Paris, PA, and Holiday Motor Homes in Weirton, WV. He was an employee of Weirton Steel Corporation for over 30 years.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

An Orthodox funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Nick Halkias will officiate. Burial will follow in the Serbian Cemetery.
