Maureen Pooler

Maureen Bushlow Pooler, 77, of Knoxville, formerly of Steubenville, Ohio and Ft. Wayne Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2018.

Maureen was a very active and dedicated member of All Saints Catholic Church in various ministries.

She was retired from Knox County Schools after more than 25 years of service as an elementary teacher, with most of that time at Cedar Bluff Intermediate School.

Maureen loved to travel and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bob Pooler; children, Leah Abercrombie and husband, Dr. John Abercrombie of Knoxville, Dr. Jason Pooler of Chattanooga, Michel Pooler of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Abercrombie of Knoxville, Libby and Margaret Pooler of Chattanooga; sisters, Kathleen Kalina of Indianapolis, Indiana, Martha Maddy and husband Marshall of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers, John Bushlow of St Croix, Virgin Islands, Lawrence Bushlow of St. Clairsville, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Adam Kane celebrant.
