Margery E. Grimm, 83, a longtime resident of Toronto, OH, (Costonia) passed peacefully on December 4, 2017, surrounded by loved ones at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron, OH.
Margery was born on April 22, 1934, in Bethel, ME. She later moved to Bangor, ME, and graduated high school in 1952. She studied Grand Opera for three years and was offered additional training in New York.
In 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert. They moved to Toronto, OH, and spent the next 57 years together. Margery retired from Sears in August of 1992. She was an installation manager with 20 years of service.
Margery was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church. She directed both the adult and children’s choir at Center Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Ladies of the Moose in Steubenville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Madeline (Brink) Dudley, her loving husband, Robert E. Grimm, and an infant grandson.
She is survived by four children: three sons Michael (Cathy) Grimm of Bloomingdale OH, Robert A. Grimm of Minerva, OH, Ronald (Rose Mary) Grimm, of Wintersville, OH, and daughter Lynda (Michael) Sage of Akron, OH; as well as seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Toronto, OH. Her funeral will immediately follow at noon officiated by Rev. Emily Grimm. Burial will follow at Highland Hills Cemetery.
