Raymond Wesley “Ducky” Mossor, 91 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Elmcroft at Milford Chase in Marietta, GA.
He was born May 15, 1926, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late George and Etta (Bunner) Mossor.
In addition to his parents, Ducky is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Jane Mossor, on Oct. 24, 2016; two sisters, Pauline Wright and Freda Grizzle; and two brothers, Billy and Glen Mossor.
After high school, Ducky went on to serve his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He worked for many years and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he was a mechanical repairman. In his retirement, he served as a handyman for all his neighbors and anyone who needed help with a project.
He was a member of the Follansbee United Presbyterian Church, Wellsburg Masonic Lodge 2 A.F. and A.M., American Legion in Wellsburg, WV Post 34, and Brooke Football Boosters for several years.
Ducky is survived by two devoted daughters, Karen Hill of Powder Springs, GA and Peggy (Brian) Bush of McMurray, PA; three grandchildren, Brandon Hill, Jake Bush, and Colton Bush; one great-granddaughter, Addyson Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV; and again on Tuesday, November 28, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with William Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad, along with graveside Masonic services conducted by the Wellsburg Lodge 2 A.F. and A.M.
