Mark Decker

Mark E. Decker, 59, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

Mark was born Jan. 10, 1958, in Weirton, W.Va., son of the late George and Carolyn (Kellar) Decker.

He was retired from Arcelor Mittal Steel Corp., where he had worked in the Tin Mill.

Mark was Catholic by faith and was a Bando Karate Instructor, Fifth Level Black Belt.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his step-son, Chayne Haynes and by his son-in-law, Billy Kerr.

Surviving is his wife, Julie A. (Pope) Decker whom he married on March 13, 2010; his daughter, Rachael Kerr and her fiance’ Jonathan Plohal; his son, Casey (Amanda) Decker all of Wintersville, Ohio; his two grandchildren, Madison and Samuel Kerr; his two sisters, Pamela (Rich) Brooks and Kristie (Shane) Stinespring; his brother, Dave (Melanie) Decker all of Steubenville; his mother-in-law, Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ Pope of Steubenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, from 2-6 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, 701 Findley St., in Toronto, OH. His funeral service will be held on Monday at noon at the funeral home. Additional visitation on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of Mark’s service.
