Franklin “Frank” D. Hudson, 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away November 23, 2017, at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.
He was born December 5, 1932, in Sandyville, WV, a son of the late Hurshel David and Blanche Viola (Landis) Hudson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Chuck Workman; and two half-brothers, Norman and Floyd Hudson.
Frank served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Okinawa. Frank received a Marksman and Good Conduct Medal.
He retired from AEP where he worked as a lineman.
Frank served as a local pastor in the United Methodist Church since 1980; he served as full pastor at New Somerset, Bray’s Chapel, Pine Grove, Sugar Grove and Buena Vista UMC.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley L. (McCourt) Hudson; son, David (Lisa) Hudson; daughter, Anna “Bambi” Hudson; brothers, Daniel Lewis (Linda) Hudson, Carl (Anita) Hudson and Charles (Esther) Hudson; grandchildren, Jacob (Melissa) Hudson and Steven (Greg) Hudson; and great-grandchildren, Bai Inga, Jamir, Beau, Bri and Cabella.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Frank Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery with full military services.
