Joanne Bane

Joanne Bane, 77, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born July 30, 1939, in Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle Tesack Bonacci.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda (Kirk) Demos; a granddaughter whom she adored, Alicia Bane; two brothers, Joe and Ronnie; and sister, Donna Gilroy.

Joanne (GG) devoted her life to caring for others. She dearly loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren. GG took great pride in all of her grandchildren with one of the highlights being the recent graduation of Seth from Big Red High School. She spent the last 12 years of her life in the care of her daughter Valerie and son-in-law Tim. Joanne enjoyed bowling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Joanne spent a good part of her life caring for the Chattha family, Drs. Amrik & Jaswinder, Rosie, Sonia, and Vijay. She is loved and will be missed deeply.

Joanne is survived by four children, Valerie (Tim) Ohalek, Jim (Jen) Bane, Bryan Bane and Rosalie (Tim) Demos, all of Wintersville; 11 grandchildren, Amber (Ed) Nest, Candace (Steve) Heath, Tim Ohalek, Ronnie (Melissa) Bane, Joseph Pethtel, Michael Pethtel, Aaron Bane, J.J. Bane, Jayna Ziklo, Stephen (Tanya) Boilegh and Seth Demos; and 13 great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Parker, Chance, Marissa, Katelyn, Skylar, Rhonda, Savannah, Gabe, Nathan, Noah, Emma and Justin.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Additional visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
