Leatrice Bates

Leatrice Bates, 94, of Endicott, NY, formerly of Wintersville, OH, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at The Ideal Senior Living Center.

She was born May 4, 1920, in Castel D’Ieri, Italy, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Angeline Gentile Nobile.

She was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Preceding Leatrice in death were her husband, William A. Bates, and two brothers, Danny and James Nobile.

She was an avid tole painter and taught classes to her friends and also created beautiful jewelry.

Leatrice is survived by her son, Robert (Sandra) Santicola; daughter, Patricia (Thomas) Collart; five grandchildren, Roben (James) Snyder, Marc Santicola, Karla (Kris) Miller, Jennifer (Thomas) Musa and Jean (Robert) Rogers; and ten great-grandchildren, Macy, Katiri, Emily, Benjamin, Jack, Olivia, Ally, Claire, Santino and Rosalie.

Private family visitation.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
