Burk Emery, 70, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. in Trinity Medical Center West.
Burk was born August 23, 1943, in Toronto, Ohio, son of the late Herbert and Ulah May Davis Emery.
Burk was retired from First Energy Corp. W.H. Sammis plant in Stratton, Ohio, where he worked for 34 years and retired as a yard foreman. He was a 1961 graduate of Toronto High School.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Lisa Emery on February 1, 2014.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Deatrice (Campbell) Emery, whom he married on August 23, 1963; his two sons, Robert Burk Emery of Empire, Ohio and Jeffrey Chad Emery of Longwood, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes Inc., 701 Findley St., Toronto, Ohio, where a celebration of Burk’s life will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor and neighbor Roger Burdick will Celebrate his life.
Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
