Harry J. Ciccarelli III
Harry John Ciccarelli III, 28, of Weirton, was called to Heaven’s Gates on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Born on August 6, 1985, in Steubenville, OH, Harry was the son of Harry J. Ciccarelli, II and Lynne A (Rogers) Ciccarelli of Weirton.
Harry was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hughes, his paternal grandfathers, Harry J. Ciccarelli and Michael B. Hartman.
Harry graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 2003, where he played baseball and was an All State football player. After high school, Harry joined the United States Navy, where he served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, the second tour with the Special Forces. He was honorably discharged after five years of service and returned home to work for ArcelorMittal Steel, where he worked on the continuous annealing lines.
Harry enjoyed sports, lifting weights and fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He will always be remembered for his kindness, willing to give you the shirt off his back.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and he attended Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.
In addition to his parents, Harry and Lynne, Harry is survived by his two sisters, Sara (Dan) Pulice of Weirton and Lauren Ciccarelli of Arlington, VA; his nieces, Caroline Pulice and Syncere Stevenson; paternal grandmother, Ruth “Nina” Hartman; maternal grandparents, Ed and Nancy Gialluco; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church Weirton. Rev. Fr. Larry Dorsch will preside.
Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA
