Georgia R. “Me Maw” Fluharty, 74, of Wintersville, OH, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Valley Hospice North.
She was born in Lisbon, OH, on March 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Robert “Leroy” and Dorothy E. Brown Congrove.
Georgia was an avid Indian Creek High School booster and her life revolved around being a caregiver to her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, Jack L. Fluharty Sr., who died in 2006.
Georgia is survived by her son Jack L. (Michelle) Fluharty Jr. of Steubenville; her daughters, Christine (Augie) Weaver of Richmond, OH, Donna Taylor and Lisa (Chuck) Karamanolis, both of Wintersville; brother, Robert L. “Bud” Congrove; and sister, Mary Margaret Werevy, both of Alliance, OH; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road., Wintersville, OH on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bill Hibbs officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
