A funeral service for Edith Louise Bennett Kumbera Rhodes, 87, of Holly Hill, FL, who passed away on May 14, 2014, will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1125 6th St., Holly Hill, FL, with Bishop Clair Crookston officiating the service.
Those wishing to call and pay their respects may do so on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill, from 1-4 p.m.
Edith was born on March 7, 1927, in Martins Ferry, OH to Mathew and Kathryn Bennett.
She moved here from Mingo Junction, OH, in 1973. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Relief Society. She possessed multiple callings within the church over a myriad of organizations. She was a retired custodian for the churches in Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, FL. Most of all, she was known for her love of family.
She is preceded in death by her son, William C. Kumbera Jr.; her husband, Paul E. Rhodes; her brother, Mathew Bennett Jr.; and her sister, Betty Anderson.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Villamagna (Frank) of Mingo Junction, OH; her daughter-in-law; Crista Kumbera of Deltona, FL; her stepchildren, Paula Poff, Wayne Rhodes, and Carol Withers; her loving faithful dog, Billy Boy; her brothers, Ronald Bennett of Columbus, OH, George Bennett of Springfield, OH, and Thomas Bennett, of Jamestown, OH; her sister, Emma Zani of Wheeling, WV; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
