Ronald Blair Golden

GOLDEN, Ronald Blair, 79, of Hedgesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his residence.

Born Nov. 16, 1934, in Weston, he was the only child of the late Lawrence Blair Golden and Hazel M. (Heath) Golden.

Mr. Golden retired as a salesman for Wagner Brake and Lighting Company.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Golden was a disabled veteran, having served with the 82nd Airborne U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Wilson (Grimes) Golden; two sons, James M. Golden (Denise) and Robert Snyder (Christine); two daughters, Patricia Balanga (R.J.) and Christina Renee’ Snyder; and nine grandchildren, Isaac, Tori, Claire, Gwen, Laura, Megan, Jacob, James R. and Marissa; one aunt, Betty Eidman; and a number of cousins.

The family received friends from 3-5 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 20th, at the funeral home.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2014, at Brown Funeral Home.

Military graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle or American Lung Association.
