FACCINTO, Kathleen, 84, of Weirton died Thursday March 27, 2014, at the Wyngate Senior Living Community surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 12, 1929, in McClandish Mine, Harrison County, WV. She is the daughter of the late Howard and Effie Blevins McBrayer.
Kathleen is also preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 33 years, Louis Faccinto; four brothers, Robert, Roy, Clayton, and Howard McBrayer, Jr.
Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved gardening, cooking, going on picnics and decorating for the holidays.
She will be remembered most for having taught her family what compassion is all about.
Kathleen was a member of the Tri State Church of God, Weirton and was a retired nurses aide.
Surviving are her sons, Gary W. (Lori) Taylor, Sr. of Seaside, CA and Phillip (Ruth Anne) Lamantia of Davidson, SC. Her daughter, Kim (Dave) Rees of Weirton; her stepsons, Lou (Janet) Faccinto, Jr. of Torrington, CT and Bobby (Anna Marie) Faccinto of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Jo (Bervil) Wells of Kannapolis, NC, Mary Waters, of McConnellsville, OH, and Betty Kesterson, of Vincent, OH; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her faithful cat Tillie.
The family would like to thank Dr’s Camille Castaldo and Christopher Cowher, Weirton Medical Center, Valley Hospice and the staff of Wyngate who treated her like family.
Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, and on Monday 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
