William Fagan Brown

BROWN, William Fagan, of New Wilmington, PA, went on to his next journey on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59.

Mr. Brown was born July 31, 1954, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late John V. and Jayne R. (Fagan) Brown.

He was a 1972 graduate of Madonna High School; matriculated to Marshall University and was a 1980 alumnus of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. Bill was a pharmacist at K-Mart in Hermitage. Bill was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Camillus Church, New Castle.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Billie Jean Reddinger; a son, Sean William Brown, a student at WVU; a sister, Kathy “Bee” Fedak and her husband, Richard, Royal Palm Beach, FL; and a brother, John V. “Butch” Brown Jr. and his wife, Wendy, Punta Gorda, FL.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212; or Madonna High School, 150 Michael Way, Weirton, WV 26062.

Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle, PA.
