Mary E. Jack

JACK, Mary E., 92, of Salem, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 29, 1921, in St. Marys, West Virginia, the daughter of Earl and Lucy Mae Underwood.

Mary resided with her daughter, Nancy K., and son-in-law, George E. Hugus, in Salem. She loved to sew and worked as a Ward Clerk at Trinity East in Steubenville, OH for 20 years before retiring at age 67. Mary was a member of the Greenford Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall F. Jack, who died at age 50 in 1969.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy K. (George) Hugus of Salem and Marsha L. (Jim) McCosky of Prospect, KY; two grandchildren, Jeffery E. (Brenna) Hugus of Concord, NC and Melissa A (Brian) Carter of Salem; and six great- grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Union Cemetery Chapel in Steubenville with her grandson, Rev. Jeff Hugus officiating.
