Margaret ‘Louise’ Greggo
GREGGO, Margaret “Louise,” 83, formerly of Brilliant, Ohio, and Wintersville, Ohio, passed away June 25, 2013, in Cape Coral, Florida.
She was born Jan. 26, 1930, in Brilliant, Ohio, a daughter of the late Tom and Verne Heaphy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir Greggo; a brother, Joe Heaphy; and a sister, Jane Heaphy.
Louise was a very active member of the Brilliant Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher; she held many offices in the church.
She was a homemaker then went back to college in her 40s and graduated from West Liberty with a degree in education. She was a teacher at Wintersville Elementary, until she moved to New Port Richey, Florida where she continued her teaching career until her retirement.
After retirement Louise moved back to Brilliant for 17 years where she continued to mentor at Wintersville Elementary School. She then moved to Cape Coral, Florida to live with her daughter.
Louise was a fun loving and all around enjoyable person. She enjoyed reading and had an extensive library. She also loved Frank Sinatra. Louise was everybody’s best friend and she is truly missed.
Surviving are a son, Tom (Millie) Greggo of Tierra Verde, FL; a daughter, Gaila (Dave) Gache of Cape Coral, Florida; five grandchildren, Cas, Max, Emily, Joe and Lizzie; and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held on her birthday Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Brilliant Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kenn Sickle, officiating.
