Kaylin Blake Rice

RICE, Kaylin Blake, 16, of New Cumberland, died as a result of a vehicle accident on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.

She was born June 20, 1997, in Weirton, WV, a daughter of William (Gina) Rice of New Cumberland and Christina Cooper (David) McCartney of Chester.

Kaylin was a junior at Oak Glen High School and was a member of the OG softball team.

Besides her parents, she leaves behind two brothers, Hayden Rice and Jeffrey Rice, both of New Cumberland; three sisters, Alexis McCartney of Chester, Kyleigh Rice of New Cumberland and Mallorie Dazen of Pittsburgh; paternal grandmother, Sharon Rice of New Cumberland; maternal grandparents, Victor Cooper of New Cumberland and Penny Johns of Steubenville; maternal great-grandparents, Maureen Cooper of Weirton and Gay Ware of Winterville; and also by grandparents, Dale and Donna McCartney of Chester; and Aldo and Jeanne Giocondi of Pittsburgh.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the New Cumberland Church of The Nazarene, Rt. 8 and Washington School Road, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. Pastor Craig Greathouse will officiate.

Burial will follow at the New Cumberland Cemetery Funeral arrangements being handled by the Nixon Funeral Home.
