LIGGETT, Alma Pearl Mader, 90, formerly of Carrolton, OH, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 18, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in Hammondsville.
She was born April 9, 1923, daughter of Albert Eugene and Anna Vesta Liggett in Hopedale, OH.
She was one of nine children. She lived most of her life in Carroll County. She worked as a cook most of her life. As a resident at Carroll, she enjoyed cooking for everyone at the Center for Senior Activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Shaw of Carrollton and Karen (Joe) Smith of Hammondsville; six grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands Jim Stenger and Frank Mader; seven brothers and one sister.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday and 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, OH.
