PORCO, Anthony “Cheech” Sr., 68, of Paris, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at home.
He was born May 7, 1945, in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Carmen Battista Porco and Theresa Rotell Battista.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, John “Pat” and Joseph Porco.
He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club, Steel City Boogie Club, Pittsburgh Jitterbug Club, B.P.O.E. No. 1801, American Automobile Club of America. He loved to work on cars, ride motorcycles, dance, and enjoy his family. Cheech retired from Weirton Steel Corp. steelworks pipe shop as a general foreman with 38 years of employment.
Surviving are his fiancee, Pamela Griffith of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Marissa Freidet (Hal) of Bridgeville, PA; sons, Brandon Christopher Porco (Theresa) of Alexandria, VA, Anthony Porco Jr. (Meghan) of Castle Shannon, PA; grandchildren, Joseph, Derek, Jason, Abigail, Abraham; brother, Carmen Porco (May) of Madison, WI.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2013, 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Private family funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m., at the funeral home with Reverend Kevin L. Bowers presiding.
