McGuire, Myrtle J. 78, of Steubenville, Ohio.
Our father Vincent G. waits no more, his bride of 55 years reunited with him Sunday morning, September 29.
The former Myrtle Star, the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Bickerstaff Star of Steubenville, was called home while she slept. Myrtle and her husband settled in Richmond, Ohio to raise their five children.
Myrtle is survived by her oldest brother, William Star of Milwaukee, WI; her five children and their spouses, Darliss (Robert) Orsini, of Richmond; Gregory (Karen) of North Canton; Stephen (Patty) of Richmond; Thomas of Steubenville; Kevin (Lorene) of Steubenville.
Myrtle also is survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren with three more on the way.
Among the original families of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Myrtle was very involved with the parish. She taught CCD classes, was a member of the CWC and participated in several other church functions.
Myrtle enjoyed a lifelong love of flowers and gardening and was a long time member of the Richmond Garden Club.
Calling hours are Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, and on Thursday 10 to 11 a.m. at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Richmond. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Fr. Timothy McGuire and Fr. Jack McCoy concelebrants. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
