James Kimball

KIMBALL, James “Jim” A., 57, of Williamstown, died on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at CCMC Memorial Campus.

He was born July 21, 1956, in Hancock Co, WV, to the late Roy and Irene (Shuman) Kimball.

Jim was a member of the 6th and Washington Streets Church of Christ in Marietta. He retired from Weirton Steel after 17 years of service. He was a member of the Mustang Antique Car Club and owned his own ’66 Mustang.

He enjoyed watching and was a fan of the WVU Mountaineers, Steelers, and Pirates. He also enjoyed having the young people from church over to his house for dinner and cooking his specialty, pies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Carolyn Kimball; one special son, Jeff Sherman of Sandusky, OH; one very special little girl, Esther Katherine Starner (daughter of Jeff and Liane Starner) of Marietta who was loved very much by Mimi and uncle Jim; two sisters, Carolyn (Bob) McClelland of Weirton, WV and Donna (Earley) Owen of Middleburn, WV; he also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Roy Kimball.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kelli Cawley and her staff and Beth at Amedisys Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the 6th and Washington Streets Church of Christ in Marietta beginning at 11 a.m.
