Robert ‘Bobby’ Lesinski

LESINSKI, Robert “Bobby” – Those who knew Robert “Bobby” Lesinski of Wintersville, Ohio, know how incredibly exuberant he was and how he loved and appreciated life. It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce Bobby has passed away at the age of 55 after a long struggle with type-1 diabetes (since age 2) and numerous complications including heart disease, bypass surgery, neuropathy, hearing loss, kidney failure, kidney transplant and more on Thursday August 1, 2013, at Shadyside Hospital.

He graduated from Steubenville High School in 1976 and went to work for Ohio Coal Co. He entered the casino gaming industry in 1979 and over a 20-year career served as a dealer, a supervisor, an assistant shift boss and eventually his passion a casino host.

Having worked in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and St. Louis, Bobby touched many lives and was a vessel of positivity and courage. Drawing from his expertise, he served as executive director for Red Hot Tours and loved hosting bus tours to casino destinations. Despite many health challenges he never lost his zest for life. A kind soul and friend to all, Bobby would give you the shirt off his back. His faith was strong and as a loyal member of The Knights of Columbus and Blessed Sacrament Church his patron saints were Saint Jude and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Bobby is the son of the late Frank A. Lesinski and Rosemarie Caracciolo Lesinski of Wintersville. Bobby will be greatly missed by his beloved mother and by surviving family members including those he affectionately referred to as his “dawgs,” brother Mark Eddie Lesinski, sister-in-law Cyndi Lesinski and adoring nieces Rachel Lesinski and Tianna Lesinski (whom he referred to as his “little peetzle girls”), Frank Lesinski, a wonderful nephew Kolton Lesinski, stepmother Sylvia Camilli and fiancee Sherry Modransky and her children, David and Tasha.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church 852 Main Street, Wintersville. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
