Nazzareno Alessi

ALESSI, Nazzareno, 86, of Steubenville, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Valley Hospice.

He was born February 20, 1927, in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. He is the son of the late Adamo and Josephina Marucci Alessi. Nazzareno is also preceded in death by his wife, Maddalena Alessi, one brother and one sister.

Nazzareno was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and the former St. Anthony Catholic Church; retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel in 1990, he and his wife came the U.S. in 1951 from Italy.

Surviving are his two sons, Mario Alessi of Steubenville and Adam (Susan) Alessi of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one grandson, Dominic (Jennifer) Alessi of Temple City, Calif.; two great grandsons, Antonio and Dean Alessi both of Temple City, Calif.

Also surviving are two brothers, one sister, as well as nephews and nieces all in Italy.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at both, Bolger Country Club Manor and Valley Hospice, for the care the gave their father.

Friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy with Mass 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Thomas Nau, celebrant. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
