June Faith Edwards Henderson-Patrick

HENDERSON-PATRICK, June Faith Edwards, 86, of Bergholz, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Bergholz Friday, July 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Bergholz March 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Henry D. and Francis S. (Lewis) Edwards.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold L. Henderson who died in 1996; and by her second husband, David Patrick who died in 1999; and by one son, Thomas H. Henderson who died in 2005.

June was retired from the Edison Local School District as the Food Service Director and was formerly the secretary at Jefferson Union High School.

She graduated from Bergholz High School in 1944 and then the Canton Actual Business College. During her professional career, she served in a number of positions including as the executive secretary for the Pilot Club International in Macon, GA, the Clerk of Juvenile Courts in Gainesville, GA, and as the executive secretary to the Radiation Technology Engineers in Melboune, FL during the pioneer days of the space program.

She was a member of the Bergholz Church of Christ and the Ladies Aide Society of the church. She had been a member of the Bergholz Women’s Club.

She is survived by two sons, Judge David E. Henderson, Steubenville and Mark C. Henderson of Green, Ohio; her daughter, Debbie Mallernee of Bergholz; her sister, Margaret (Gary) Cain of East Springfield; six grandchildren, Whitney (Brian) Duemmel, Zachary Henderson, Kierston (Adam) Hobaugh, Mylissa (George) Stout, Justin and Kyle Henderson; and two great – granddaughters, Myka Marie Hobaugh and Addison Sue Duemmel.

Friends will be received Monday, July 29, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 with Pastor Dave Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bergholz Cemetery.
