Elvira M. Perrone

PERRONE, Elvira M. 87, of Steubenville, loving wife, mother and grandmother died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Sept. 13, 1925, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Pietro and Maddalena Gianetti Giannamore, Elviria is also preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent and Michael “Skip” Giannamore and three infant brothers, two sisters, Norma Mascio and Anna DiAngelo.

Surviving are her husband, Ramo D. Perrone whom she married Oct. 7, 1961, two daughters, Annette (George) Smith and Maria (Frank) Collier both of Steubenville; one brother, Msgr. Anthony Giannamore of Sun City, FL.; one sister, Mary (Charlie) Manfresca of Steubenville; loving sister and brother- in-laws; three grandchildren, whom she adored, Amber and Ryan Smith and Kayla Collier and nieces and nephews.

Elvira was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and its CWC, worked at the former Hub Department Store for 17 years and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1942.

Calling hours are Friday 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday At Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Msgr, Anthony Giannamore, celebrant. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
