Robert E. Grimm

GRIMM, Robert E., 81, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his home after a valiant effort with a lengthy illness.

Bob was born on Jan. 27, 1932, in Toronto, OH, son of the late Clyde and Mary Hudson Grimm.

Bob attended Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and was Christian by faith. He graduated from Jefferson Union High School class of 1951. Bob was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. having over 42 years of service working in the Blast Furnace. Bob also served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Nichols.

Bob is survived by his wife, Margery E. (Dudley) Grimm of home, who have celebrated over 56 years of marriage having wed on October 1, 1956; his sons, Michael J. (Cathy) Grimm of Bloomingdale, OH, Robert A. Grimm of Minerva, OH, Ronald C. (Rose Mary) Grimm of Wintersville, OH; his daughter, Lynda D. (Michael) Sage of Akron, OH; his sisters, Edith Shepherd of Wintersville, OH, Eleanor Durnen of Steubenville, OH and his brother Edward (Pat) Grimm of Amsterdam, OH. Bob also leaves behind seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, April 5 from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, 701 Findley St., in Toronto, OH. Rev. Jeff Proya will officiate his service.

Burial will follow in Highland Hills Cemetery in Follansbee, WV. Military Graveside Honors will be presented by the Toronto American Legion Post 86.
