WINTERSVILLE — A free harvest concert is planned at 6 p.m. Sunday at Brentwood United Methodist Church, 148 Stephens St.

The concert will feature Bobbyjon Bauman and Pamela Shea.

A bon fire, with hot dogs and smores, is planned.

Ghost stories of

Civil War talk set

CADIZ — Historian Paul Goebbel will share local legends and folklore that make up the paranormal stories of various Civil War sites during a discussion set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Puskarich Public Library, 200 E. Market St.

The ghost stories of the Civil War are stories of the sites and locations with a twist, according to library event organizers. The stories will feature first-person accounts of paranormal activities at the sites.

The event is free and open to the public.

AARP meeting

set for Oct. 18

WELLSBURG — Brooke Area AARP Chapter 3910 will meet at noon Oct. 18 at the Wellsburg Moose Lodge.

The program will be Bus Bingo, and attendees are asked to bring a wrapped dollar gift as a prize.

The group is collecting stocking stuffer items for the military.

Paint it Pink going

to social media

WEIRTON — In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc. will take its Paint It Pink campaign to social media and involve everyone, according to officials.

During Paint It Pink Week Monday through Oct. 19 individuals can change their social media profile pictures to pink and share posts using hashtags #PaintItPinkWeek18 and #BreastCancerMonth.

C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc. will share their favorite posts and pictures across Facebook and Twitter.
