Getting the votes out
More than 60 Bethany College students and community members gathered at the school last week for Walk the Vote, a celebration highlighting the importance of voting. It began with a student-led ceremony in which Othniel Kpodar, a senior cyber security major, reminded everyone of the opportunity Americans have to make a difference. Many first-time voters marched to the Bethany post office to mail their absentee ballots. All participants were entered into a drawing during the event, which was sponsored by Bethany Memorial Church, the Black Student Union, religion and philosophy club, Bison Alliance, psychology club and social awareness club.
