Grand jury indicts six

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County grand jury on Tuesday returned six indictments, with half being drug related.

Salih Muhammed, 34, of 315 Hill Ave., who also has an address in Columbus, was indicted on two counts of drug trafficking and one count of having a weapon while under disability.

Muhammed was arrested by the county’s drug task force on June 1 following a raid on his Hill Avenue home. The drug task force had made controlled drug buys from him on May 30, according to court documents. The task force reported about $40,000 in cash was confiscated from the house.

Christopher A. Curenton, 28, of 634 Grandview Ave. was indicted on two counts of drug possession and single counts of drug trafficking, tampering with evidence and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

William A. Staffilino, 35, of 603 Joseph Drive, Mingo Junction, was indicted on four counts of drug trafficking.

Trenton D. Blue, 25, of 811 Market St. was indicted on two counts of having weapons while under disability and one count of tampering with evidence.

Ian A. Shaw Jr., 39, of 530 Ross St. was indicted on felony operating a vehicle while under the influence charge. Prosecutor Jane Hanlin said Shaw has one prior felony OVI conviction.

Darl K. West, 41, of Rear 1324 Ridge Ave. was indicted on a felony OVI charge.
