Students complete security training
Criminal justice students at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School recently became certified in private security after passing a test at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in London on Feb. 27-28. Five students completed a 124-hour private security academy followed by a 135-question exam to receive the certification from the state of Ohio. JVS instructor Jamie Freeman said the students now can obtain employment in the field.
