Health department offering screenings

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Health Department will conduct blood screenings weekdays in January, officials said.

A press release issued by the department noted TB skin testing is available at the offices, located in the Towers at 500 Market St., Mondays through Wednesdays.

Childhood and adult immunizations are available weekdays, and patients should call the department at (740) 283-8530 to check if if the department is a participating provider.

Free HIV testing will be available from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 12. Patients should call (740) 283-8530 to schedule an appointment. Also, STD testing is available on weekdays, and walk-ins are welcome.

Flu vaccines are offered weekdays at the offices, as well as lice screenings.

The county health department also offers urine pregnancy testing on weekdays. The cost is $5.

Officials noted physicals are available by calling the number above, and those wanting drug testing should call for information.
