Brilliant food drive

getting under way

BRILLIANT — The Brilliant Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual food drive beginning at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 3.

Residents are asked to place nonperishable items on their door steps, and anyone wishing to make a monetary donation can make their check payable to Brilliant Volunteer Fire Department Food Drive, 1001 Third St., Brilliant, OH 43913.

The Brilliant Lions Club will team up with the fire department to prepare and distribute the Christmas baskets. Area churches and other organizations may help.

Christmas baskets are for Brilliant residents only.

The food drive schedule is as follows:

¯ 5 p.m. Dec. 1 is the deadline to submit names to receive food baskets. Distribution date and time will be given at the time of signup.

¯ 11:30 a.m. Dec. 3 is the food drive collection. The Wells Township Christmas parade will follow at 3 p.m.

¯ 9 a.m. Dec. 11 is when volunteers will meet at the VFD to put food baskets together.

Harrison Hills board meeting time changed

CADIZ — Members of the Harrison Hills City School District board of education will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the administrative office, 730 Peppard Ave.

The meetings usually begin at 7 p.m.

trustees to meet

BERGHOLZ — The Springfield Township trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the township building, 722 Monroe St.

Pressure testing

set for Wednesday

WINTERSVILLE — Officials with the Jefferson County Water and Sewer Department have announced a flow and pressure testing will be performed from approximately 9 a.m to noon on Wednesday in the Sunshine Park area.

Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes that day, as discolored water and irregular pressures are likely.
