Christmas in Mingo Junction

More than 300 people gathered Monday evening in Mingo Junction to celebrate the season with the lighting of the village Christmas trees, which were donated by Softite Community Federal Credit Union. The Hills Elementary School choir and the Indian Creek High School band performed a medley of Christmas songs. Participating in the tree lighting were, from left, Mayor Ed Fithen; the Rev. James Dunfee of St. Agnes Catholic Church; Sophie Schoolcraft, Mingo Social Services director; and Jefferson County Commissioner Thomas Graham, who turned the switch to light the trees.
