Summit exhibit unveiled
The Hancock County Arts Council unveiled the latest display of local artists to go on exhibit at the Summit Art Gallery during a reception held Thursday night. The art, to be on display during the next three months, features five area artists, three of whom have never had their work on display. Featured artists include the photography of Dennis Jones of Weirton; paintings by Lora Russell of Hookstown; paintings by Jeff Grace of Weirton; graphite and pencil portraits by Larry V. Straney of Bloomingdale; and pottery and tin can art by Donna Sullivan of Wellsburg. The Summit Art Gallery, located at 3393 Main St. in Weirton, is operated by the Hancock County Arts Council and the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau.
