Hands-on experience

Alana McGonagle, a junior in the auto collision program at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School, added a clear coat to the hood of a vehicle during a recent class. Students in the program, instructed by Russ Achhammer, have had hands-on experience in design and refinishing work and have learned modern welding, sanding, masking and painting techniques using the same advanced equipment as master technicians. — Contributed
