Clerk of courts releases report

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for September.

The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $722,296, with $37,055 going to the county and $685,240 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $3,690 and watercraft fees $375. Total fees and taxes were $737,577, with $41,121 going to the county and $737,577 to the state.

For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 27; Ohio Department of Taxation, 123; certificate of judgment, 34; civil, 31; notaries, 14; domestic, 17; criminal, 13; and court of appeals, two. Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $10,937.

The Rayland title office processed 821 titles with license plate revenue of $667. Also processed were 21 passports with revenue of $525.

The courthouse title office processed 34 passports with revenue of $850; recorded license plate revenue of $1,606; and saw a total of $40,660 in total auto title fees paid. The total revenue paid into the county was $42,934, with county total titles of 2,870.

Country Friends sets weekend events

COLLIERS –The Country Friends Foundation will host Ken Husk and the Country Hoedown Round and Square Dance Band on Friday and the Sands Of Time band on Saturday at Memorial Hall, 67 Police Lodge Road.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the program starts at 7 p.m.
