Students honor terrorist victims

Pupils at Buckeye North Elementary School held a special performance on Monday as sixth-graders, from left, Kaitlyn Jarrett, Lizzie Stock, Megan Burrier and Isabella Krulcik, played taps throughout the building in remembrance of the terror attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., in 2001. The pupils approached their substitute teacher, a military veteran himself, for permission to play in their class, but Principal Susan Nolan allowed them to perform on their trombones and trumpets in different areas of the school so all pupils could take part in the observance.
