9-11 remembered

911 March cut

The 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, were marked with a march along Main Street, Follansbee, by Eric Fithyan, owner of Chambers and James Funeral Homes and his staff; the Tri-State Young Marines; local first responders; and community members, including the Brooke High School Dance Team. The participants marched Monday to the Ray Stoaks Plaza, where they joined others for a service remembering the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and aboard Flight 93 as well as the bravery and unity displayed on that day. — Warren Scott
