Wells Township trustees discuss issues, commend police

BRILLIANT — The Wells Township trustees discussed road issues at a recent meeting.

It was noted a slip on county Road 19 will be bid out again. Officials also noted dust control in the county is being taken care of, as the first coat has been applied, and the second coat is due soon.

The crack seal process in the township will start in September, officials said, adding cinders no longer need to be purchased because the township has approximately 200 tons that will last two years.

In other matters, the trustees learned a tractor will be back in service in the near future and officials will review the bill from Ferguson Tire for possible adjustments.

Mike Nichols, chairman of the Brilliant Water District, updated the trustees on the township’s new water plant project, noting a tentative time to do pre-bidding will be in September.
