The Wells Academy Community Kids third-graders presented sweets and a hand painted banner to the Steubenville Police Department Monday afternoon as part of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The third-graders, under the guidance of Wells Academy teacher Julie Battistel, met with, from left, Patrolman Jim Marquis, Capt. John Young and Patrolman Shawn Extrovich in the Municipal Courtroom. The children had an opportunity to ask the police officers and Municipal Court Judge John Mascio questions about their jobs. - Contributed
