Stabbing reported

CROSS CREEK TOWNSHIP A 41-year-old man was stabbed by an unknown male just after midnight Saturday morning on Wilson Avenue in Cross Creek Township according to reports from the Jefferson County sheriff’s office.

The victim was approached from behind and stabbed in the right thigh after blocking an attempt at his throat and sustaining superficial injuries to his hands.

After the stabbing took place, the suspect entered the rear passenger side of a 2002 to 2009 black Honda Accord without speaking to the victim, according to the report. The vehicle then drove up Altamount Hill and circled around twice before proceeding down Wilson Avenue toward Steubenville.

The suspect was described as being of Hispanic or Indian descent with black hair and green eyes. He was described as about 5’10” tall,180 lbs, wearing blue jeans and a long sleeve black shirt.
