Toronto chamber sponsoring bus trip to see Pirates
TORONTO -The city chamber of commerce is looking for a few Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fans for its bus trip May 4 to watch the Buccos square off against the Toronto Blue Jays at PNC Park.
Game time is 1:35 p.m., and the trip will include plenty of perks, including great seats for the game and other fun, according to Bill Lucas, Toronto Chamber president.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun, and we have two buses reserved,” said Lucas, adding the seats “are spectacular. These are lower box seats between first base and right field.”
Lucas said the the buses will arrive at the Toronto Junior/Senior High School parking lot at 11 a.m., with buses scheduled to leave at 11:30 a.m. Those wishing to go will get some favors as well, including a voucher for a Pirates hat as well as kids ages 14 and under receiving a Jason Grilli jersey.
“The tickets are $60 per person,” Lucas said, adding the tickets for the box seats and parking are worth the trip alone. “Fans don’t have to deal with the hassle of parking. Kids also are allowed to run the bases after the game.”
Lucas also said those attending are invited to bring their own refreshments on the buses.
Tickets are available at Anderson-Campbell Insurance Co., 107 N. Fourth St., Toronto; by calling (740) 317-7780 or (740) 632-5866; or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once sold tickets are non-refundable, and seats are assigned in order of payment received, added Lucas. Tickets also can be purchased by sending checks as soon as possible to the Toronto Ohio Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 158 Toronto, OH 43964.
Lucas said tickets are selling fast and are limited.
